ordered more play toys
Just ordered a G-tech pro-comp. Don't know why, numbers will be disappointing. Just to play. Also got a new cat from Summit. TomP, that one you suggested better work or I'm coming after you My old one's heat shield fell off a few years ago and it's probably the original. Couldn't hurt. We'll see this weekend!!

Yipe! It's okay, I'm confident.
I still have to try my G-tech. It's been in it's box in my room somewhere ever since I got it for Christmas back in '01 ...

LOL, yeah, right? I was too busy when I got it to hook it up, and I keep forgetting about it. I had planned to put it into 'G-force' mode, and do a before/after test for my suspension swap. (You do circles in parking lots and it measures max G's that the car can do before the tires start sliding) Damn. Oh well...

Tom, i don't have to come and find you. It went on without a hitch. It was getting the old one off. 17 years of rust. Nothing an air chisel didn't take care of. Problem is, before the air chisel it was a scewdriver and hammer. Now my y-pipe is just slighly boogered up and a small, annoying sounding leak is there. Oh well. My g-tech still hasn't shown, expected it yesterday. Hopefully Monday before I leave!

Now TomP is going to say: "Get rid of that clamp you have on it & order one of Jegs stainless steel wrpa/clamps. It will seal around the joint & not crimp the pipes or rust to them"
I'm going to get me one too, gonna swap out my cat & get a new warranty replacement jsut because , & use the clamp wrap.
actually, they're called Dynomax Stainless Steel Strap Bands

Weird... Funny thing is, the old calmp wasn't rusted to the pipe. It came right off! I forgot to mention this: as I was beating the crap outta the old cat to get it off, the cap to the O2 sensor and wire CAME OFF and fell on the ground!!!! The end of the wire was zip-tied to a brace to keep it off the ground!!!!!!!! I guess for as long as I've owned the car, it has been running without the sensor! Car has not idled rough, does sometimes have issues starting, and the SES has not come on and stayed on. Just recently it has been starting to come on for a minute then go right back off. I guess they programmed it to not recognize it. Maybe that's why my exhaust smells a little like gas. Probably why it just have the umph too. I think I can see the wire hanging down by the firewall that it goes to. Red one? Guess I'll see.....
