idle at 30mph

i dont know why it is but ive checked to see if there is anything my throttle is getting stuck on and if there are any vacuum hoses that are leaking and there arent. the car runs at high rpms but the throttle is as low as it will go. i cant figure it out. does anyone else have any ideas for me to check and see why it would be doing that and if it will really mess up my tranny because when i stop its trying to go so fast. some one help please!!!! :hail:

I reall have no idea but you should probably shift into netural before you stop. Espically on a wet or slippery road. BUt only thing I can think of is you floor mats are push up to far. I have aftermarket cover on my pedals and mine will get stuck if the floor mat is push up to far. Drag it back with my heel and it stops.

you have a vac leak.

you either have a reagular leak and need to find where the leak is and fix it, then the car will idle correctly...

or your AIC is jammed open somehow....
