Timing Chain replacement?
Okay looks like I need to replace my timing chain. I have NEVER done this before. What is the procedure step by step.
What all has to come off to do this and how long does it take?
Any hints or suggestions for doing this? There is a 3 day weekend coming up, and I would like to have this done as soon as possible.

Procedure?
Step 1) Buy a Haynes Manual for your Car.
Step 2) Look under V6 Engine, Timing chain replacement, and read.
Step 3) Buy a Torx set to get the water pump off.
Step 4) Buy a Timing Chain Gasket Set, and 3 piece Timing Chain Set
Step 5) Rent a harmonic balancer puller!
Start there, and come on here when you get frustrated, and need some help.

like he said. It's not as hard as you would think. Once you get the balancer and the front cover off, it's pretty easy. One thing to remember: Check the balancer pulley for ridges on the shaft that goes through the front seal. If it has ridges, get a sleeve kit for it before you put it back in, otherwise it will leak.
One more thing: don't forget to check your tensioner condition while you're in there. If it's questionable, get it replaced, it's only $20, and it will save you from having to tear in to it all over again.

Shouldn't need a torx set for the water pump; should all be regular bolts. Follow the torque specs in the Haynes manual (meaning, if you don't have a torque wrench, drop the $50 at Sears for one)!!
