I looked at this threat and thought it was about a replacement engine for our tired 2.8's/3.1's, then I saw V8, THEN I saw 600+ hp! Then, to top it off, I saw $120,000, enough to turn me down real fast. Sounds cool, really cool, its just so far out of my reach its unbelievable.

That motor wouldn't last 6 months, none the less maybe even a week, of street driving. They are so tightly wound and are temperature sensitve- They are designed to bring up to a certain temp and remain their for a duration. Running to the store...letting it cool down...running to the beach...letting it cool down...etc. day in and day out would blow that motor in a hurry. Plus you could never drive that motor on city streets into the operating range- it would always be lagging unless you were on the freeway where you could get the r's up into the powerband without it being jumpy.

First of all it's a V8, probably a 90* motor. Second, you said it's for our cars, are you getting that because it says "Third Gen." in the text? That just means that it's the third generation of the motor. I agree with AGood2.8, that motor wouldn't last a week without dying.
Freakin' sweet lookin' motor though.

I posted it just for the heck of it. With all of the other off-the-wall swaps people propose it fit right in.
If you want a six, use the 3.4l. If you want to go fast easily, swap in a big SBC. How hard can that be?
RBob.

ok, good reason to post. I agree with you on all the off-the-wall swaps that people say they want to do.
