In a very big way, it is.
I have to take a pic of the compliment to that sheet.
For $35 I can send to Pontiac Historical Serivce & obtain that sheet.
I'll post pic later on.
MAJOR THANKS FOR THAT PIC!
I need a copy for myself.
Would you please send me one?

Here is my build sheet.
Notice the callouts on the dealship buildsheet & on mine the Van Nuys plant build sheet. I located this under driver side rear seat. I specifically noticed the written request for a Y99 optioned car.
Interesting.

The result is the (of my buildsheet) paperwork is this car, my 1985 Firebird V-6, Vinyl Tan interior, with the pinwheel styled aluminum wheels, dual exhaust tip, Auto/AC/PS/PB/Stereo radio/rear defrost/HD Suspension.
My car came to me without the RPO codes in console lid, drat! Why not?

Never found my '86's buildsheet, and there's really no more car to take apart to find it, either. I did find the buildsheet for my parts car ('84 Firebird 2.8l) under a rear seat bottom, I'll see if I can scan the sucker in-- oops that won't work well without a web page, will it? Never mind!

1984 RPO/build sheets were nicely taped to the console door. Mine was easy to find, sadly Ive had to replace the console door twice now....Beh making the next one out of wood and foam!

Mine was inside the passenger door panel.
The build sheet
or the RPO code listing?
I will assume The factory Build Sheet.
I've yet to pull my door panels for any reason.

Build sheets on tanks tend to be Corvette only.
And it's true as that's where I found my 1974 Corvette build sheet. Which lead to a trail that offered me every previous owner and the price they paid and communication with several past owners, including the guy whom bought it off the S & R Chevy Dealership Mason City Iowa salesfloor in September of 1973. My 1974 Corvette was the first brand new car this guy ever bought. His previous purchases were used cars.
Passenger cars build sheets tend to be interior located places or trunks.

found mine the other day when I pulled my interior to swap from gray to black. It was under the drivers seat under the carpet. Kinda tucked under the wire harness that runs under the seat. Its in pretty good shape, too.
