best v6 exhaust? (v6 sound clips?)
I've tried searching and posting on the exhaust board, but the only response I ever get is "it wont sound like a V8, so go buy a V8 car", so I'll try this over here in the V6 board and hope for some results:
I've been wanting to replace the muffler on my car for awhile, but I cannot decide between the "Dynomax Super Turbo" 2.5" dual outlet, or the Flowmaster 80 series 2.5" dual outlet.....I understand the dynomax is supposed to sound ok, and is much quieter than the flowmaster, which is supposed to be louder and sound good (until the upper RPMs?), I've already got a flowmaster 80 muffler just sitting in my garage, but I dont want to put it on if its going to sound like crap....so I'd like to hear the difference between the two (on a 60* V6 motor) if possible...Thanks

I dont have any sound clips, but the best sounding exhaust I've heard on a six banger is a stock LS1 muffler and rectangle tips.
Greg (6speed84z28) has it on his 3.1 car with the custom headers and it sounds great. Cheap too seeing as how most LS1 guys throw their stock stuff away.
