That sounds great. Its too cold for me to even look at cars at the junkyard. That B&M mega shifter is kinda of expensive to me. I don't like the way it is tilted to the side, but anyways - good find.

Great finds! Altho with that transpak; have you done a search on the trans board for B&M? You might not want to put it in...

Haha, I'm with ya, devianb, it's too damn cold. I should've changed my oil a while ago; I'm putting it off because it's freezing outside.

Oh and what do you mean by the megashifter is tilted to one side? The stick is straight; there's no bend in it...

i was lookin throught the b&m transapc and found out is not for a gm trany there were just some misc gm parts in the box. its actually for a ford aod trany. as for the shifter. i couldnt believe i found it. i searches on the internet for hurst shifters and found out that its called a v-gate. sweet find if you ask me. i might have to make some modifications to my shift plate though. i cant wait to put it in

It has been my understanding that Hurst was bought out years ago and their designs are no longer made with the Hurst logo attached. I don't think I am mistaken but who knows?

George Hurst was bought out by Mr Gasket.
George then passed.
Mr. Gasket still sells the stuff, but Linda Vaungh won't deal with them anymore.
Mr. Gasket even recently re-issued the Hurst die cast emblems.
Hope you got all the attachments, too.
GREAT SCORE!

FYI, George Hurst got his start creating engine swap kits for NEW CAR rides from the 50's.
AND
George Hurst CREATED & PATENTED
The rescue tool
"The Jaws of Life".
Hurst was at a race & saw the troubles the workers had, removing a person from a race car wreck.
That was his inspiration.
Hurst died a poor person, tho.
Family & business decisions went wrong.

Linda told me that George Hurst was one of her Best Friends.
