installing motor mounts
yeah she is finally running good but there is a slight vibration inside the car. I know its not the flywheel or harmonic vibrations. That leaves me with the engine mounts. My question is is how to install the mounts without removing the engine. Is there any way to do this?

ok someone has to have done this before. Can't you just jack up the engine and slide the mount off? I look like the mount has 3 bolts. One holding the engine and two going into the frame. I think it will slide out because the engine slid on top of it.

Yeah, you have to raise the engine a few inches to get clearance. There are 3 bolts holding the mounts on....sound easy? It's not. The bolts thread into nuts in the frame that are NOT welded to the frame, meaning you have to hold both ends.
The only way I was able to reach the nuts in the frame was by taking a cheap 15mm wrench and bending it.
It took me 4 hours to do the passenger passenger side mount. ( Done on a lift but it was my first time doing a motor mount). The new driver side mount is still sitting in my parts bin....over a year later.

Open hood
Start engine
Get inside car
Put foot on brake pedal HARD
Go from reverse to drive & watch engine.
IF it moves ALOT!
motor mounts.
These mounts don't break.
They wear out ONLY due to bad bolts holding motor to frame.
There's not enough power in these engines to break the mounts, tho.
My 1968 Firebird 400 went thru motor mounts CONSTANTLY! GM eventually used a chain to keep engine in place! Along with the other motor mount set up.
Try my test idea & see what happens. KEEP FOOT ON BRAKE!!!!! WHEN DOING THIS!!!!!!
I recently replaced my mounts in my 85 Blazer.
Previous owner accident replaced proper GM engine to frame long slip thru mount bolts with cheap grade 5 stuff & it wore out my frame mounts at 211,500 miles.
I slipped in 1995 F Body frame mounts & they fit perfect.
I procured proper engine mount bolts at yard.
IN MY BLAZER INSTANCE
The backing bolts are welded to frame.
I just undid & swapped in other item. 15mm bolts all around
Not a real mission as CaliCamaros was.
Again, my mount swap subject was my 85 Blazer.
In my Firebird, I left well enough alone. So I cannot say comment about the F Body.

Actually no.
I had been stopped by a cop once.
He wanted to know how I made my truck go so fast from a standing start.
I tweeked the ingniton curve & hopped up exhaust & added K & N air filter while creating a ram air set up. Plus I indexed plugs for extra HP (or else it really couldn't hurt either!)
Puppy hauled quite well for many miles until the end.....
I had it almost up to 90MPH once.
Hard to push a brick fast. It was like I hit an aerodynamic wall!
Really wasn't a slow vehicle at all....
NOW when I first got it, barely made it over 65MPH!
Then I read alot of tips....
