Actually, the Berlinetta aint too impressive to look at. Its on blocks right now. The paint has faded a little bit but the body is dead straight, no wrecks or anything. The interior is perfect except for the headliner and the digital dash and all the controls, including the original radio, all work. The car has extremely low mileage on it, about 90,000, because its been broken down for about 5 years now. But i gotta hold of it and wanna fix it up. Its got a rod knockin right now but once i get that fixed and get it painted it'll kick ***. BTW, it even has the flashlight in the overhead console.

Im doing a conversion mod with some parts off ebay and im sure with the right launch I may get into negative numbers.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1871775187

Im sure its a straight bolt up for our V6 motors[auto or stick], I got the high bid so don't cut my throat.

the car had an accel supercoil, dynomax cat back, 3000 stall converter, posi unit, k&n filters, hypertech chip, transgo shift kit, someother things. the new motor is all that minus stall converter and posi. the new motor, however has been bored .040 and decks have been zeroed. the tc in it, however, stalls at 2200. i don't know what the times on it will be now, i am guessing in the mid 16 second range.

why did you get rid of the converter and posi? both would help the motor a lot. also where did you get the converter?. what brand is it? every one ive looked for says its only for v8's. a 3000 stall would help me a lot.

My 2.8 died at 138,000 or 86,000mi, and it was due to a snapped connecting rod and the transmission bit the dust the same day, so i would fix the rod and everything, and do a full tune-up get it running great before you run it too hard, mine seemed to be runnning perfect till lke a day before it died....

i had the converter made custom for the 2.8/700r4 combo by dynamic converters. i still have it but i think that the reason my tranny died had a little to with the high stall on the road all the time. the posi unit i broke doing donuts in an abondond parking lot, i have tried to fix this but every time i find i have wasted my time and i throw the spider gears back in. the posi unit was made by powertrax and they were real good about sending me free spacers and springs to try to fix it, no luck though. i still have it too, somewhere...

I have been gone for awhile, but check out my old site:

www.geocities.com\overlift

16.01 is easy to get anything under that you'll need a little cash...

Hey I still have original unripped factory black seats for sale and a scan tool and code book, and regular manual, and some interior trim and headers for sale.. Yes original Hooker Headers never used... If you live in Florida take it all for 170.00 if you pick it up....

damn, thats faster than my POS LO3 was stock. That seems like a pretty damn good time for a fairly stock 3.1L. Thats good news that times like that can be pulled of in our cars. BTW, how did you get your speedometer corrected for the gears?

Can we see a few pics of your car. Berlinetta's are pretty rare, most around now seem to be heavily modified.

My best time is 16.5 with exhaust, cap rotor wires plugs and cold air intake. I think my gears are whats killin me.

Let my know how that ls1 swap turns out. im going to be doing one soon as well once i find the motor and trans. I think im going to be doing a stick shift convertion simultaniously. I know you need custom motor mounts, but im nto sure how the wiring goes for that swap. Let me know how you do.

I'm wondering what my quarter mile time would be just out of curiosity. I barely even take my car past 70 mph.

well, there is something called a G-tech, mark shields is selling one, they give you a pretty good idea of what youll pull...also, if you have a dyno, please tell me/us the horsepower and we can give you a good idea...or IM me and ill plug your car stats into my desktop dyno and give you a round-about read out, and that will help us decide

Yeah, I know about that, but I don't want any theoretical times. I'll just have to wait and do the real thing when it warms up. There aren't any 1/4 mile tracks were I live, at least none that I know about. If I had to guess, I would say I would do 17.1 at 80mph or something like that.

With my exhaust, intake, plug wires, plugs, and cap and rotor, I'd think if my tranny was good I'd pull a 16.8 or 16.9...but my tranny is acting up pretty bad so I'm estimating a 17.3.

Im off at college right now but ill be going back home at thanksgiving so ill get some pictures of the car then. The outside isn't great but the interior is damn near perfect except for the headliner. It even has ALL the old factory stickers in the interior where the jack is, engine compartment, and the back of the sunvisors. Its completely stock, original paint and everything. The only major mods i plan on making are ground effects and the 3.4L engine. But im gonna keep all the factory Berlinetta parts.
