Frick, I HATE the trans forum. That thing is worthless sometimes. Anyway, paste........
I'm gonna go aftermarket for my clutch and I wanted to know what you guys are using.
Anybody have experience with LUK or Rhino Pac clutches??
Here are my options:
GM: $180 for clutch w/ press. plate only
LUK: $120 for clutch w/press. plate TO bearing, pilot, & tool
Rhino: $98 for clutch w/press. plate, TO bearing, pilot, tool
Center force: $300 (way too much for a low power application)
Am I missing any other brands??
What do you guys think?

I am very happy with the Murrays $100 special, but just the clutch and pressure plate. the throw out bearin in the kit is junk, but they happily switched it with a federal mogul of the shelf.

it the only original local parts store left in my town, autoflunkies and pepfagots ran all the good places out of business.
murrays is a tad higher priced than the others but only cause they have better parts, but they will price match.
when you compare the stock throwout bearing and the one thats in the kit, its easy to see that its not right. no where near the same size and a cheap pot metal. No problem though they happily switch one off the shelf for me.

Hmmm, unless anyone has a personal bad experience, I think I'm gonna get the LUK clutch.
I'm not real familiar with them.....but I'm ordering a trans mount and a shift **** from www.northernautoparts.com and they carry LUK clutches. Might as well buy it all at the same place........
