lookin for an engine

Ok I have my 92 6 thats lovin life, but I also have my 91 t top thats hating it.

OK The plan, at "first" was simply swap to TPI and be done with it. Well you know the "speed" bug bit and said, go 350.
Then I went, well a 400 with a 350 crank(355) is a monster. so thats what I am tring to find now, a good 400 Small block.

Any know where a good BLOCK ONLY is?... I already have heads picked out. BTW I just did a quick thing on desktop dyno... 400 CI with the 350 stroke, LT4 "Hot" cam and 2.02/1.80 and the TPI intake w/1000 CFM throttle body has 500 FtLbs Trq Peak at 2900 RPMs THROUGH 4500 and peak HP is right around 430 at 5500. all N/A too!...

how about a 327 crank and a 400 block so you can rev

you'd have the best of both worlds

except the 400's cooling issues

oh yeah, if you go that big, i dont think TPI will "feed the need"

might need a mini-ram or something

oh yeah, whatever happened to your holy V6 performance???

91 t top, yes I am still into V6 stuff(Obviously) but this will be a 18 months project car. and Frankly I want the Cubes fir the fun of it. After all I found a mid 80's rear bumper cover that it needs anyway and it has the 2.8 fuel injectiopn badge on it... Figure with that showing I could get alot of $$$ from idiots.

Ked depends on the amount. I have a UPS account. I do not know if they would ship freight or not. Also depends on the $$$ for the block.

I plan on getting the SLP runners and fully siamesing them for more flow and I have seen them feed a 400 bored to a rough 430 easily. And I plan on siameaseing the base too.

Have you contact Lunati?
They used to offer a "406" package, including block.
I'll check my source.
Recently, he had one. He said it was "to far out" to do anymore "boring work".
Make sense?

Camar_hunter_c, you should probably ask this question on the regular Tech Board or the Motor Swap board, you'd probably find more answers.
