Poly motor mounts...

Someone on here (Graeme?) had custom poly mounts made for their 2.8... I was wondering, does anyone know what the difference is between a V8 mount and the 2.8 mount? Is it width/length/etc? Our mounts are the clam shell style too, so what's different?

I'm not sure as I have mine out from the Blazer.
It's metal shell on the engine side.

I think the V8 mounts are mounted in a different place on the crossmember......which might mean the bolt pattern is a bit different. *Shrug*

EDIT: I just looked at my GM manual and the mounts DO use different holes and they physically look different. I doubt they'll work.

Well we just get the insert, not the shells around it. I'll have to do some poking around this weekend... maybe I'll even order the poly engine mounts, and if they don't work at all, just put 'em on Ebay or send them back. I'm wondering if the insert is longer or thicker for the V8 cars, and if we cut it down a bit, maybe it would work...

PST makes motor mounts now? No kidding! I'll have to check 'em out! I was going to replace the motor mounts when I did my front suspension rebuild- which is going to be with a PST kit!
