problem with an 84 drivetrain

Hey everyone this inst neil. Its Tyler. I have a small problem with my 84. L69, stock rear, T-5 5 speed, and stock drivetrain. My problem is a loud banging noise that comes from underneeth the car. Its not the trani mount. It happens at all speeds, however when I let off the gas, no noise at all. Any answers?

Also when we got under the car to check the trans mount we noticed a lot of play in the drive shaft. Like you could easily shake it around with your hands.

take the drive shaft out and check the u-joints sometimes they start to bind or the needles fall out from being dried out
