Im not a youngen and know the downsides to doing this, but the problem is that I have a 9 bolt rear with 3:45 gears w/worn out posi. A new 9 bolt carrier is 750-1100 bucks F@#K that .So untill I can get the funds to get my 9 INCH rear this will have to do. Has anybody elese done this on their 3rd gen and if so give me some overall details on your experince.

PS Yes, I've welded spider gears (actually pinion gears) together. If you really want a locked rear end, I also have mini spools for the 9 bolt.

actually, depending on how bad your posi is, there is a tech article on this site on how to shim the 9 bolt posi. This tightens up the posi so it works like new again.

Currently only mini spools are available. A spool or mini spool is not recommended for street use and will require aftermarket axles (factory axles will not last). If you are still interested in a mini spool, email me and I'll work up a price.
