roller pilot bearing question

i just picked up a roller pilot and i started to think about something while looking at it. would it be wise to put a little synthetic bearing grease on the inside of the roller pilot bearing where it touches the input shaft, seeing as how there is alot of friction there?

Axle/Gears: 12 Bolt
Won't hurt any.I did this on my car when I installed my motor last year,no problems at all,do it.
