Late 1-2 and 3-4 shifts
Full rebuild with TG Jr kit, 470 tv valve, blocked 4th acc.
Transmission installed by a very capable one man garage who has installed many 700s in all type of conversions. Set's the cable with the pan off. So let's say he has set TV correctly. Pressures were within the values, but to the lower side on every gear.
Can't find the paperwork now, but usually I set the fwd clutch at 40-45 thousand z
The band is set at approx 1/8" band wiggle, 60-90 thousands cover movement, no movent with air - turning without air.
Problem: car won't upshift to 2nd on normal/moderate throttle, but only under hard acceleration and then around 4000 rpm.
Normal 2-3 shift
Then 4/OD won't come in unless around ~70mph
Thinking something with governor pressure against TV pressure is off.

Re: Late 1-2 and 3-4 shifts
Pressure on the low side tends to result in earlier shifts.
Clutch clearance doesn't much affect shift timing; make them abrupt, slide into gear, wear clutches real bad esp on the 2-3 shift, yeah; but not delayed shifts.
Shifting is a balance between line pressure and the governor. Your complaint sounds like a governor issue to me. Not likely to be TV by your description. Since it's the shifts that use the servo, could also be that. Which one did you use?

Corvette servo.
First complaint was that there was no OD (maybe he didn't go that fast to check it) I told him to check the 4th gear piston seal for damage. He changed the viton D rings for regular scarf cuts and reported the issue I've described previously.
