All those w/ rebuilt 700R4's, opinions wanted

My stock tranny finally gave it up today. 3rd and OD are gone. Right now I am 99% sure that I'm going with Pro-Built's Street/Strip 700R4. But since I'm spending roughly $1500, I wanted to get opinions anyway. I've heard nothing but good from people with Pro-Built's trannies and he supports this site, lists the parts he puts in the tranny, and has a fair price. I've heard bad things about B&M. Anyone have a Hughes? What other 700R4's are you guys running?
I have around 400 HP N/A and a lot of TQ right now and plan on working up to a 150 shot of nitrous in the fall, so I need something able to handle that. I also already have a Vigilante TQ converter still in the box waiting for the new trans.

The questions: What aftermarket/rebuilt 700R4 do you have and what are your opinions on it? Will it support around 550 HP and tons of TQ?

I can't speak from personal experience, but Dana has given good advice to many. Also, many have spoken about what a good person he is to deal with. A few have also mentioned how "he's made it right" as well.

I guess what I'm saying is that you probably can't go wrong dealing with Pro-Built.

I have a few in the high 10's & low 11's that are doing all right. Whatever you plan to do, the exact information must be known about the drivetrain, to do it right. Do I have parts breakage in the 700R4's? No. Do I have transmission problems/comebacks? Yes. Do I cover/solve my warranty/problems? Yes. Can you ask for more!!!

I wnet through a B&M and a TCI before I got my Pro Built from Dana. His trannys smoke a B&M and TCI. There is no comparing his trannys to either one of these. Beside Dana spend alot of time with each customer (he did with me anyway) to make sure you are gonna get what you want. As long as he is in buisness I will never even look at another performance tranny. If you want it right and to stay togther go with a pro-built.

I agree...I don't own one...Yet...Just waiting for my tax refund.

I called Dana about a month ago to ask a few questions and he spent about 1/2 hour on the phone with me to understand what I wanted.

With the warranty, the constant advice he gives on this board and the great track record, I don't think anyone else compares for the quality at the price.
