Transmission Cranking When Shifting - Firebird 89

Hey everyone!

I have a 5 gear transmission and i have noticed something odd when shifting gears. When i shift the gears too fast then i hear some cranking noise (like a the gears are grinding each other) for a second and then it stops when the gear is in. When im driving for a while then it disappears completely, but when the car has been cold for a while then it can happen. I suspect that the syncronizers (or how ever they are called) are worn, but i do suspect that the oil level is too low in the transmission. All gears work fine, they go in and stay firm. The gear is not soft when changing, it feels all fine. Just that the cranking noise. What do you guys think?

Also when i shift from gear 3 to gear 4 and drive at 60mph then i hear this weird vibrating noise from either the gear or drive shaft. I suspect that one of the bearings from the drive shaft are worn, but it might be the transmission doing that noise. Either way i think i need to take off the transmission and make a thorough inspection.

My question is that has someone else had this problem and could share their knowledge on this subject?
