4l60E puking out vent tube
The 4L60E in my convertible has a few weird problems.
1) When it is very cold it slips until it warms up. Then it's like new.
2) It seems to puke fluid out the vent tube
Any thoughts other than just swapping it out?

Re: 4l60E puking out vent tube
Usually when people mention puking out the vent , the standard response seems to be "Is it too full of fluid ?" and the usual answer is "no" . Sometimes mentioned is if the transmission is overheating and the person often isn't sure since there is no temp gauge on it . Well I do know of one other thing that could cause this , and that is an internal leak bad enough to cause foaming of the fluid , which then ends up being pushed out the vent .

So an internal leak could explain why it slips when cold. Perhaps when the seals heat up it stops leaking, and it stops slipping.
Guess I'll change the transmission next week. Can't have it leaking all over my new $8,000 driveway
Thanks!
