T5 Parts Questions

Hello,
Over the last month I been buying parts for my T-5 swap. I been looking at parts and part #'s and doing some research on TGO to see what parts I need but I still need some of yall's opinion about parts that I need. Keep in mind this is my daily driver, and my car only sees the track once a year.
So far this i what I have:

WC T-5
Bellhousing
Lower Shifter Boot
Timken Rear Seal
3rd Gen Pedals

The parts in question are:

Flywheel? : Lightweight GM# 14088646 or Standard GM# 14088650

Bellhousing to Engine Block bolts?: ARP#070-445-0901

Pilot Bearing?: Moroso #41100

Clutch & Pressure Plate: Which one did you guys use? part #'s?

Throw Out Bearing: Which one to use? part #'s?

Transmission To Bellhousing Mounting Bolts?: Junkyard? Ebay? Jegs?

Transmission Crossmember: Torque Arm Relocation UMI #2228 Or
UMI Trans. Crossmember UMI #2221

I also wanted to know if someone can take a upclose picture of theyre clutch fluid reservoir mounted to to brake booster, and I also apologize for asking alot of questions, I want to get this swap done right. Thanks

Re: T5 Parts Questions

Lightweight for an 85 if you have an 85-down engine.
Lightweight for an 86 if you havean 86-up engine.

Bellhousing studs with 12pt nuts? Get down to earth and get 6 point headed bolts.

that pilot bearing is fine.

In the second or third picture is a thirdgen bracket (the picture sucks but it's basically just a stamped steel piece that's boomerang shaped.)

And it doesn't have to be complex; you can google all kinds of mounting options; none very complex. Here's a 4th gen with OEM steel mounting.

Re: T5 Parts Questions

Does anyone know what size of cap or plug I need to plug the transmission lines that are connected to the radiator? Also there is a plastic tube coming from the top of the manual transmission with a plug at the end, is it a vent?

Re: T5 Parts Questions

Just disconnect the auto trans cooling lines and remove them. I left the open. Yes that is a vent.

I am having 3 problems.

Neutral safety switch
reverse lites
cruise control shut off when I push in the clutch

The reverse lites are figured out except the plug on the tranny.
Need the switch for neutral safety switch
Same with the cruise control switch.

Just installed a Hurst shifter. I love it so far.

Re: T5 Parts Questions

Keep me updated on what you find. From what I read, isnt the neutral safety switch tucked in behind the radio or next to the fuse block somewhere? Also, is there a sensor on the transmission, or is that the reverse light swtich? I was also leaning towards the Hurst shifter, but l been hearing alot of good things with the pro 5.0 shifter.

Sorry I ask alot of questions, just want to be very informed before I start this swap during the fall/winter. Thanks

Re: T5 Parts Questions

The HURST shifter is awsome.
The reverse lights are the blue and green wire so I just need to get the connector for the trans.
As far as the clutch safty switch I'll check with the parts store. The wires are the two 12 gauge wires from the shifter plug.
