B&M 30299K1 or B&M 30299?

Hello all, 1st post. new to working on 3rd Gens.

Bought an 82 Trans Am the other week with a blown 305 and junk TH200.

I have a built 350/ TH350 with 6" tailshaft to drop in. I did a bunch of reading on here about the bracket for the torque arm. The 30299K1 kit apparently has the torque arm insulator and a universal kick down cable.

Do I need to use another kick down cable and is this kit worth the extra expense? I'm on a tight budget with this car, so if I don't need to spend the extra money, I'll just pick up the B&M 30299 and a new torque arm insulator.

Thanks!
