Sorry, forgot to mention I'm running a 92 T5 behind a 70's Chevelle 350.
As for the shifter, you need to remove the shift boot(t10 torx screws hold the cover plate on and the shift ball just unscrews from the shaft), center console(3 bolts in the storage box under the armrest and a Phillips screw holding the plastic grip on the embrace), the remove the 4 bolts holding the rubber boot in place around the shifter, then the 4 bolts holding the shifter to the tailhousing of the Trans. All are 10mm IIRC.

I am having know it the hose from the slave cylinder to the transmission is broke and don't know how to get it off or to fix it I was thinking put a 3/8 hose over it and 2 clamps on each end put not sure it will work any help will be nice

Re: t5 help
To remove the hose between the master and slave cylinders, you have to use a punch to drive out a small roll pin. Then the hose end will pull out. You can try slipping some hose over it with the clamps, but i wouldn't expect that to work. Maybe as an emergency repair just to limp it home? I don't believe you can buy just that line, but you should be able to find a good used one, or a complete set from one of the parts chains.
Having blown that line before while driving, I HIGLY recommend fixing it right. Its not a pleasant surprise when your driving and push the clutch pedal and nothing happens.

Re: t5 help
Check with user Apache 3132, he made up a bunch of clutch lines from braided stainless steel line a couple years ago. I don't know if he's got any left, but if he does I'd get one. I love the one I bought. They are a few bucks more, but well worth it.

Re: t5 help
Btw, the factory 93-97 braided steel clutch line will work with the 3rd gen hydraulics as long as you have the aluminum slave cylinder. The 4th gen line won't fit with the plastic 3rd gen slave, but it hooks right up to the aluminum 3rd gen slave cylinder. If you can snag one of the 93-97 lines from a junkyard, it's pretty cheap to upgrade to the braided line.

Re: t5 help
If you decide to run a LT-1 style starter, make sure to get a 93-94 one. The 95 and newer ones are wired differently and won't work right on a 3rd gen. I had an almost brand new 95 LT-1 starter, and found out it wouldn't work in my 89. Had to trade it for a 94 starter, then it worked great. If you're getting an original type starter, make sure you specify it's for a manual trans car. The automatic starters have a larger nosecone on them, and won't work with the T5 bellhousing. If that $58 line you found on Ebay is plastic, there's no way I'd pay that much! Like 92RS_Ttop said, try to contact Apache 3132 and see if he still has any more braided lines available. If that doesn't work out, you can always get a 3rd gen aluminum slave and use it with the 93-97 factory braided steel line. The 93-97 line will NOT work with the plastic 3rd gen slave, but it does work with the aluminum ones. You can probably scrounge up another used, plastic line from somebody here in the classifieds for cheap, but I highly recommend upgrading to the braided steel line. It's so much nicer, especially if you ever plan to run headers. The steel line holds up much better to the extra exhaust heat from headers.

Re: t5 help
It's brake fluid, NOT transmission fluid.
Bleeding is ridiculously easy. Just fill the reservoir and push the rod on the slave cylinder in and let it back out. Easiest with it disconnected from the bell housing, and angle it so the hose end is highest. Check the fluid level and top off. When I changed my line, it only took 2-3 pumps of the pedal till it was bled.
Edit: Corrected my earlier error.

Re: t5 help
The only bleeding procedure I've seen for the slave involves unbolting the slave and holding it at a downward angle with the line at the top, and manually pushing the piston in until bleeding is finished. Never pump the clutch pedal with the slave disconnected from the bellhousing or it will go pop and its trash

Re: t5 help
If I understood that last post right, you can't get the trans out of first gear with it just sitting there? You should be able to shift through all gears easily without pressing the clutch pedal when the car is sitting with the engine off.
