So due to a few missing teeth i need to change my flexplate. My questions for all of you is can it be done w/o unbolting the trans from the block? Would there be enought room if i slid the torque converter back?

 

No.

However, it can be done without removing the trans... take the mount loose; take out the bottom BH bolts, one on each side; put about a 6" long bolt in their place; support the trans w a jack; take out the other 4 BH bolts; slide the trans back; get up in there w a box end wrench.
