700r4 cooler line thread size?
I have an 84 TA with the stock 700r4, it was out of the car when i picked up this project so i bought some brake lines from auto zone and they seemed to be the right thread to the transmission and the radiator but after bending them up i had problems getting them to screw into the transmission, no problem for the radiator. but now they leak at the transmission end
so my question is - are the thread holes on the trans something other than the standard 3/8 brake line thread that fit the radiator so well?
if so what are they and do they make an adapter
assuming i did not completely screw up the thread holes in my tranny

I think you have the right thread size-radiator and
tranny are same thread size-flare fittings can be a
bother in that they will often leak if tightend down
with the flare at a slight angle;if getting the fitting
really tightened down hard with a tubing wrench
doesn't stop the leaking, you might have to replace the
line and try again...Before tightening down on the
fitting, you could reposition it so the flare end is as
straight to the tranny fitting as possible.
