Anyone see this kit?
I found this kit online:
http://paceperformance.com/i-8677168...6-6-speed.html
Now, what i can gather is the LT1 style transmission uses the mecchanic fork throw out bearing, correct? Wouldnt this kit allow you to attach an LT1 Transmission to an LS engine?
I have an LS3 and an LT1 T56 i wanna mate together and i really dont wanna tear the trans apart to change the input shaft if i dont have to.

The LT1 T56 has a Valeo pull style clutch.
The parts they're grouping there are for 81 and older Camaro (and 77 and older Chevelle and others) bellhousings.
An LS1 T56 would require an adapter plate to match it's 8 bolts to the Muncie pattern 4 bolts of that bell. It would also need a CTS-V pilot bearing which accounts for the trans. being moved farther from the engine. In a thirdgen, this means driveshaft shortening time.
You really should do the front adapter plate / input shaft change and get the Quicktime scattershield that is 8 bolts. There are a lot of ways of adapting things but when there's no strength gain and the only gains are parts complexity and cost, it's best to go "stock style that works."
