TV cable question, possible damage
question:
When I originally removed the trans from donor car I lowered the trans and didnt unhook the tv cable within the trans ( the actual hook that goes into the little hole), I did unbolt the housing but didnt unhook it. Could I have stretched something or bent something within the trans?
How can I check it for damage?
The cable is properly setup with the proper tension too.
Issues I am having is that it doesnt seem to downshift properly and my upshifts are to fast. Thinking that the upshifts I can handle with the governor, But the downshifting is all the tv cable right?

Re: TV cable question, possible damage
The TV cable adjustment affects upshifts. The governor only changes the full throttle shift point. I would replace the cable personally.

Would that cable stretch? I was worried about the part within the trans that it connects to possibly being damaged. Could that be? if so how to check that?

Drop the pan, remove the TV linkage, post a pic. Do a new filter while you have the pan off.

I have already done the filter when I put the motor in. What would I be looking for when I would drop the pan? I mean as far as the linkage goes..

Trying to use a phone in bright sunlight didn't result in helpful pics. Maybe I can do better in the morning, I will try.
