help help help
plz help before i blow my cash on useless parts with information from people who think they know it all. need tranny and rear end gear suggestions.
car is 84 camaro sports coupe came with 305 swapped out for 350
motor is stock 350 non roller with vortec heads with intake to match and 270h comp cam with lift of .470 intake and exhaust duration is 270 and duration at .50 lift is 224. carb option are as follows 600 edelbrock 650 holley double pumper and 4bbl quadrajet. comp cam suggested gears 3.23 or 3.73 this will be a weekend car and sometimes a daily driver. never will see race track nor drag strip. now i need to know what tranny to use, stall and gears for rear end. just tryna get round 300 horse out of it. im a beginner to building high performane engine i usually just build stock. so any help will be thankful

i would suggest the Edelborck 600 easier to tune than the others. I would suggest the 3.23 gears with 700r4 with about 800-1200 rpm stall speed. it should give you good cruisng rpms and decent fuel mileage. i have a similar set-up with a 350 L98 approx. 500 hp and i get 25 mpg on the high-way.
