Rear axle splines...

Rear axle splines...
Maybe a dumb question....
Are MW and Strange splines equal?
Is it possible to use a MW 40 splines spool with Strange 40 splines axles?

Re: Rear axle splines...
I believe you can. I, have run Strange spools with Mark Williams axles (35 spline) in my drag car. But I would call either company and ask..These companies have always been very helpful to me.

They may fit but I'm not sure. I do know that the MW axles uses a different pressure angle on their 40 spline Ford axles. As suggested earlier, I would call MW and see what they said.

Also, if I'm not mistaken the Strange spool splines are in the same location as a factory carrier. The MW spool has them further out toward each end, as in closer to the bearings. If it turns out the splines are the same, I would still check the spline engagement. Going in to far is just as bad as not enough.
