tv cable messing with shifter cable?
well heres the story i guess. about may i was putting a new engine in my car, drove the car around for awhile without adjusting the tv cable then after i adjusted it, my car was shifting great. well just a few weeks ago i noticed my car was having problems shifting again( going all the way to 3200 rpm before shifting into second) and was slipping, got to looking and i was loosing all my tranny fluid because my dipstick seal was leaking. my step dad tried replacing it with a few orings and that didnt work so i went out and bout a new seal, replaced the fluid and took a spin, still going to 3200 before shifting into second. well he suggested adjusting my tv cable again, well i did and its shifting normally now and oddly running smoother, well after i adjusted that i noticed that when i go from park to reverse the shifter didnt feel quite as solid, like it was bouncing out of park to fast. well its not shifting into park, i have to force it all the way up or after i put it in park it wants to roll forward alittle or backwards then will catch. would adjusting my tv cable affect my shifter cable? i know its not hard to adjust them but still. this is a first for me so the help would be appreciated.

Re: tv cable messing with shifter cable?
There's nothing at all connected between the shifter cable and the TV cable - they do not interact with one another and are on opposite sides of the trans.
