New guy t5 swap bolts??
Hey guys I'm new here and I'm attempting a t5 swap in my 86 ta I have pretty much all the parts together, and I'm pretty certain I know how to do it. The only problem is I had a couple friends help me take the transmission out of the doner car, and well they just placed them all in a bucket. So I was wondering if anyone knew the bolt sizes and what goes were? If there's any way to tell? Or if I should buy them new little by little? I wanted to do up to the bell housing by tomorrow, so if anyone knew what sizes for the flywheel, clutch and bellhousing, any help would be much appreciated guys. Thanks!!!!

The bolts for the bellhousing to engine will be 3/8" x 16. The bolts for the trans to bellhousing are 12mm x 1.75, if I recall. Those are the major ones. There are also the bolts for the flywheel. Those are 7/16" x 20, and are special bolts that align the flyhweel.

Re: New guy t5 swap bolts??
Thanks for the quick response. I think I found the six flywheel bolts. Are the just a little longer then the flex plate bolts? Also I got a bolt with a star pattern in it from the manual tranny, were would that go? And how many bolts for the clutch to flywheel. And bellhousing to engine? And bellhousing to tranny. Thanks again.

Re: New guy t5 swap bolts??
The first 6 are pressure plate bolts (yes 3/8-16)
If the next 6 are 3/8-16, they'd work for bellhousing to engine.
Last big fella looks like trans. to bell & should have a T-50 torx drive (to run down the top right bolt more easily past the case edges) as well as hex drive.
Big washers - dunno at the moment.
The bearings that are pushed in as far as they can go are more prone to damaging the pilot of the input shaft. Don't put it further than it needs to be (if it's not blocking the input / trans. from seating, then leave it be.)
