Anybody ever modified the stock T5 Shifter to shorten it?

Engine: 355 cid
Transmission: T5
Axle/Gears: 3.73
Anybody ever modified the stock T5 Shifter to shorten it?
Anybody? I feel like it belongs in a semi it's so tall.

The Hurst is out of the budget right now...maybe I'll pick up an S10 and check it out. I didn't even think of that. Thanks for the info, bro.
