Th200-C cable problem
the transmission it self works fine, the other day i was driving and stopped at some appartments but i had to move so i reversed the car into a spot. the car stalled out on me happened five other times. started it back up i lost every gear except first and is stuck there. i move the shifter and the cable moves aswell, so the problem is internal. i have a book on the car unsure of when ill be getting it back left it at a friends house, so i wont be able to consult the book. i called up my uncle and he explained to me there is some sort of device i dont want to say the wrong thing, but the device keeps the cable attatched to it and he says it sounds like that would be the problem, i am unable to do any heavy work on vehicals in the appartments. so unless i know what it is or a general idea i wont be able to drop the pan to look at the device. if anyone could help or give advice i would apritiate it considering tight on funds and going to a garage where i hardly see 200C tranys might be expencive, with the guts of a 2004R or even a 700R4 work with my trans, im not looking to keep the tranny for a more than a year or two at the most so if anything will work ill take it. thank you

Re: Th200-C cable problem
I would start with checking the fluid level. And to do that the car must be at operating temperature and running in park. They act awfully strange when low on fluid
