z28 automatic 91' question?
ok so i gotta 91 auto (700r4 i think?) with stock 305tpi...am i better of just putting in a replacement 700r4?(mine is slipping pretty bad) or should i put a t350 or 400 in it? and if i do put another set up do i have to change my ecm or anything like that?

Stay with the 700! If you switch a TH350 or 400 you have to get a different drive shaft and you lose O/D.

Any non 4wd, non Corvette 700R4 will work. If it's out of something besides an F-body, you'll have to swap your current tailshaft housing onto it.

thank you so much for your advice on the topic i dont mind swapping tailshafts (especially cuz the one in my current tranny is BRAND NEW) but one more question, ive seen people swap it out with the 4th gen tranny i think 46le or somethin like that? apparantly theyre identical? can you shed some light on that?

A 4L60E is electronically controlled and you can't use it without a computer to control it.
