t-5 noise?
My t-5 trans, non world class, makes a noise only in neutral, with the clutch engaged. It sounds like a "rock tumbler", and if you push in the clutch, its gone. Sound like an input shaft bearing? ANY INPUT APPRECIATED

Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Re: t-5 noise?
No; just, the moving parts of the trans spinning around in there.
All manual transmissions do it to some extent.
If it doesn't whine too bad when loaded, ignore it.

Re: t-5 noise?
Thanks. Ive heard its common on t-5s, and others have said its an input shaft bearing problem. My t-5 is quiet down the road, just has the "tumbler" sound in neutral
