Short Spring Syndrome
Been having some issues with my car and I think that I have narrowed it down to what they call short spring syndrome. Couple things. First has anyone else ever experienced this? To replace the spring, what is involved? I know I have to drop the pan and remove the TV plunger, but what else? The last thing, where do I get that spring from, where can I order one?

Re: Short Spring Syndrome
Took a look at the sites. Is the only thing that I need to replace is the spring, or do I also have to ream the bore and replace all the parts? Or is that something that I have to see when I open it up? Is it possible to change the spring without removing the valve body?

Re: Short Spring Syndrome
Hard to say... that bore in the valve body supposedly wears over time and is farkled in ALOT of em, so it might need both.
But it's not that tough to try just the spring, and then if it seems like it needs the whole valve & reamer and all that, go back and re-do it.

Perfect. Looks like I have a little project once the car comes out. Thanks
