I am unsure how to hook up the gear indicator light on my megashifter. I just don't see anything for a light to connect to. I bought the megashifter from guy new in the box, but I've done that before and had things missing. Reading the instructions it almost sounds like all the lighting (bulb and white piece it plugs in to) from the stock plate should be attached to the new B&M plate but I just don't see how. Can anyone straighten me out. I'm sure it is something simple I am missing since doing a search shows I am the only one who has had their but kicked by this. Everything else is going good with the install.

 

I don't think the kit plugs in. I think I just cut the harness and spliced the wires. The bulb is pretty dim and doesn't really work very well anyway.

 

That would make more sense to me. I'll look for a place to connect the wires. Thnking about it now the window was already installed on the shifter, I probably need to disassemble it a bit and will see where to hook it up.

 

Figured it out. A previous owner had the whole thing assembled but left off the light bracket and I found it in the chilling in the box. Now I just need to hook up the linkage down below and get everything adjusted.
