4L60E tail-housing interchange
Tried posting the build in Fabrication a few times, but the mods must not have thought the build was related enough. Long story short, I helped a friend build a Street Legal Sprint Car and we used a 2002 LS1/4L60E out of a Camaro for it. Ran a best of 6.91 in 1/8th.
The issue is that when it was my turn to give it a try, we broke the tail-housing off the transmission since we were using it as torque management.
**Little hint to everyone, it doesn't stand up well to a solid axle and 22" Hoosiers. Even on a stock motor.**
Found one housing online, but they are out of stock. Are there any other extensions that will interchange, or are we limited only to the F-Body housing? On the TCI website, they have a dimensions page and it seems that all LS1/LS2 extensions are the same length if they are not in a 4x4 application. I'm just looking for a confirmation on this. I'm moving on to an LS1 based site after I post here just in case no one knows for sure.
Thank you
