trans help! northeast ohio area!

hello.
i have a 700r4 trans that last winter i installed a b&m 2400 stall convertor and transgo shift kit with corvette servo .....700 miles on it since all the work. anyhow.... the trans can't handle all the upgrades and is having trouble and the track today shifting gears....slipping

trying to decide weather or not to buy a new transmission

or

find someone in my north east ohio area that is trust worthy and reasonable that i can bring my transmission to and have them rebuild it with a performance rebuild kit with better clutchs..etc (better than stock at least)

open for ideas, help, know someone, etc

thanks.... plan to pull trans over next month or so and fix over winter months

Is your TV cable adjusted properly ? If it worked good before you did those changes, it should still. If it was disconnected you have to readjust it. You cant just bolt it back on. None of those mods should make it slip, I dont think. Im no trans guy either though.

thanks for helping..but yeah the trans never did seem right from the get go...since i had it. one i first got it the tv cable wasn't even hooked up..i hooked it up and when i rebuild the valve body ...doing the shift kit i found valve body ***** in spots that they weren't so i think because the tv cable wan't hooked up prior to me getting it...it didn't help the trans...even after i did the upgrades i found that even though i had the brackets / adapter to hook up to a carb...that i didn't have it adjusted right..only way to truely adjust it is to take pan off and have someone help you push pedal and you want from underneath and make the nessasary changes...but thanks though.

Cool. Have you researched the Summit ones ? Make sure theyre good, and what you want. See if anyones had issues. Summit has pretty good customer service, and Im sure they would replace anything thats not right. A trans is something you want right the first time though. So you dont have to pull it back out. Been through that a few times. lol

Ahhh yes. Nice choice. I run a P/A, C-4 in my Mustang. They have excellent products. I've had that tranny believe it or not for 16 years. I took it back to them about 6 or 7 years ago. Just to have them go through it, and make sure all was well. Never had a problem with it in all that time. Running mid 9's almost every weekend, and driving close to 100,000 miles with it.

Re: trans help! northeast ohio area!

No problem man. I have never seen anyone that was not happy with their stuff. I know ALOT of people that use them too. Theyre one of the biggest names in Mustang trannys now. Im sure the GM stuff is just as good. The customer service is awesome too. Atleast it used to be. Im sure it still is. Its been years, but when I had them service mine. I walked right in the back and talked to the builder himself. Theyre only about 30 mins. from me.
