Engine: LG4 305
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 273
3:73s

are the axles the same for 273s 373s for a 7.5 i want to put 373s in my car do i need to change the axles to.

In 86, the splines were all the same, 26, for a 10-bolt. More info following:

With the above statement, you are heading for big Problems. The big one is the 2 & 3 series carrier problem. I hope this is not a DIY project???

You don't need to change the axles. The 2.73 uses a 2 series differetnial and the 3.73 uses a 3 series. You need to swap to a 3 series differential or get a special thick gear that is made for the 2 series.
