Car: 1987 IROC-Z

Engine: 350 TPI

Transmission: TH700-R4

Axle/Gears: Stock 9-bolt with 3,27 Posi

Converter 700-R4 to 200-4R

Hi guys,

Will a converter from a 1984 Camaro with 700-R4 transmission fit a 200-4R transmission?????
The number on the converter is: 8635502 CF6C
And what is the stock stall speed of such a converter?????

Nope unless its an 83 transmission check the splines 82-83 th200c, 700r4 and 200r4 used a 28 spline converter 84 up 700r4's used a 30 spline. You might get lucky and have a 28 spline converter but chances are not good. Trust me I know how $$$ 28 spline converters are.

All 2004R's were 27 spline. The 1982 through the first half of 1984, 700R4's were 27 spline. If your 700R4 is a 27 spline, then no problem. The 27 spline shafts were apx. .890" in diameter, the 30 spline were apx. .990" in diameter.
