You'll have to check your wiring. Chances are you've got +12v going directly to ground somewhere.

Heres a link to the instructions for the Universal TCC Lock-Up Kit for 700R4 and 2004R
http://static.summitracing.com/globa...tci-376600.pdf
Its says: Using 18-gauge wire, run a 12-volt source to the red
wire on the external harness (Terminal A).

Re: torq lock up kit question
Yes - you need to connect the red wire to any wire that is switched (has power only after ignition is on).
You can run a manual switch to manually engage the lockup whenever you want by running the GREEN wire to one side of a switch, and connecting the otherside to a ground. When you turn on the switch, the green wire gets grounded and locks the converter.
One thing - be very very very careful with that vacuum line nipple on that little POS vacuum switch they provide - mine broke the first time I pulled the vacuum wire off, and a replacement vacuum switch is mucho $$$. I just trashed mine, and I only use the manual switch to lock mine up on the highway.

Re: torq lock up kit question
You should have plenty of leftovers that were hot-in-run - maybe an injector wire or something? The TC lockup function doesn't require alot of juice, just 12v to activate.

Re: torq lock up kit question
The "gauges" power circuit is where the factory powered the TCC solenoid from.
