t5 vs 56 crossmembers

what is the difference between the mounting points? is it just that the t56 is further back? higher up? searched and cant find the answer.

Thanks! Alex

Re: t5 vs 56 crossmembers

the t56 is further back. If you're putting in a T56 in your thirdgen....then you need like a spohn T56 adapter crossmember.

Re: t5 vs 56 crossmembers

i have a t56 with the spohn piece

i'm looking at a 9" with tq arm and crossmember for a t5, im not keen on the idea of fabing a new crosmember and was hoping i could do a simple mod to the t5 one... hmm

Re: t5 vs 56 crossmembers

well the t5 torque arm is the same as the t56 one. so you wouldn't need to make a new crossmember. Is the 9 inch setup to accept a torque arm?? if not then you'll have to adapt it.

Re: t5 vs 56 crossmembers

its a 9" with a moser style tq arm that's crosmember mounted, but the crossmember is for a t5, not a t56 so i'll have to adapt it if i purchase it...

Re: t5 vs 56 crossmembers
