no reverse solution after transgo shiftkit in 700r4
Ok, after installing my transgo shift kit in 1986 700r4, i had a weak reverse.... i did some research and found 3 reasons why this might be happening, and just thought i would share with everyone!
1. tv boost valve, int./rev valve and pr valve assembly is not right....follow instructions very carefully and make sure valve ring clip is installed correctly, the tv boost valve should move no farther than 1/8th in. from ring clip.
2. auxiliary valve body/plate if no auxiliary valve body, is not tightened correctly
3. there is a check ball that goes in the valvebody, the location is commonly referred to as the bathtub.(looks like a little bathtub)
thanks and i hope this helps with the no reverse problems on 700r4 shift kit install

EDIT:
Just dropped the pan, and saw that the c-clip for the boost valve wasnt in place properly, and it was almost falling out. I'll put her back together in a bit and we'll see how she goes. I HOPE it is this easy of a fix.
