Car: 1984 Trans am
Engine: V8
Transmission: Auto
85W140,75W140, or 75W90

have a 84 trans am dont know which of the following gear oils to add. can any1 help me? 85W140,75W140, or 75W90

Axle/Gears: 3.42 Open Diff

To your rear? 75W90 would do the trick.

Stay away from 140 weight gear oils if you're running a limited slip posi with friction discs. It don't work so well, found out the hard way last week.
