T56 swap cross member, DIY

Well, here is the piece i made today, works well. I only have a 110 amp flux core welder, so i welded more than you would if you had a 220 amp.

I call it the "Spawn" cross member. Since it is spawned from the stocker. LOL

man zane those welds look kinda scary... looks like you just melted the wire and spread it around. hope it's just the pics

Well, the good welds are under the bad ones, i ran out of wire and used my buddys, his was a POS, so i did what i could. It is just a 305, but it is solid, i dropped it, kicked it, put weight on it, should be ok. That is why i have a spohn for my hard top and the big block.

Well, beat the hell out of it and it is holding great. But this is a carbed TBI 305. I might be lucky to have 200 HP. Keeps pulling with the performer RPM and carb compared to the TBI junk i removed.
