700r4 sensor/plug? what is it
i just swapped 700r4 and there is a plug with two prongs on my old one. it is located in the rear of the tranny, driverside, near the torque arm. the 700r4 that i replaced it with does not have a plug, it has a small threaded shaft on it in the exact spot. i have no idea what either of these are for... and the plug from the old tranny does not fit the new one. any ideas???

The electrical terminal on you old transmission is for your vehicle speed sensor to operate your electrical speedometer...
The threaded connector on your new transmission is for a speedometer cable to operate a mechanical speedometer
