try it out. i ran a 3500 stall in a 350 turbo daily driver for almost 2 years with a good tranny cooler of course. now i have a 8" ATI, but is no longer a daily driver, about 300 miles a year.

As long as it's a lock-up converter the stall will show, but the converter can lock in 3rd and 4th usually and even 2nd gear if you make it which negates any stall you have. I miss overdrive and lock-up converter with the 6000 stall th400, but this one kicks *** on the track!

Re: 3400 stall to much for the street

id say its a bit much but try it out... depending on the ftlbs of them motor its gona change the stall anyways. think ud be better at 3000 or 2800.

im just rebuilt my trans for 675+hp and putting in a 2900 stall. engines gona be a HSR 383, ported HSR and port matched to felpro1206s, patriot 195cc aluminum heads ported and port matched to 1206s. comp cams XFI 280 cam, 230/236 .571/.569 lift 113 lobe, 1.6 RR and a 58mm TB. rear gears are 3.55s in the ford 8.8 out back

fast 82z thats a HUGEEEEE TURBO lol its like a phetus on the motor geez. if u were to run dual turbos on the cheap out back on one of our cars what would u run? garretts T3 hybrid T4s? i always wanted to run dual rear mounted turbos like the STS ones and no intercoolers to be a sleeper... just dont want to spend alot

Hey kens86, when you had that TH350 w/ 3500 stall did you experience any lag or converter shudder?

Re: 3400 stall to much for the street

Depends on the motor/turbo/boost. On 13psi so far ran 9.66@ 139, but that same 13psi on my 305 ran a 12.2. The intercooled 13psi was good for roughly 2.2 second e.t. with the 305, and probably more with the motor in it since it looks like it should run low 12's without boost. Without using an intercooler and to be on the safe side, I'd count on making a 1.5-2.0 sec. e.t. drop by moderate boost.

Re: 3400 stall to much for the street

nope. throttle response was instant and flashed up to 3000rpm getting back in the gas from a decel. i now have a 5000 stall. minimal street use though.
