T56 driveshaft question

I'm going to be swapping in a T56 in place of my T5 in about a month and I'm trying to make sure I have all of the details worked out so I don't have probs when doing the actual swap. I have heard that you need to shorten the driveshaft and the torque arm to swap in the t56, is this true? If so, can I just use a driveshaft and maybe even the torque arm from a fourthgen or would they be the wrong length too? I'm sure this ques has been asked before but I can't find anything in the archives for some reason, so if anybody can give me a quick yes or no answer or maybe a link that would be great. Thanks!

You can reuse your DS and the torque arm.

www.nethirdgen.org has an article on this... i think we do as well, check them both out.

Make sure you have the bracket for the torgue arm from the T56. At least on mine (auto to T56) the mount did not work from the auto.
