I was told by a very reputible transmission shp here in town that you shouldnt use it in 700r4 transmissions. It's to thin and causes slippage because it goe through the pump to fast to buid up enough pressure.

It is Ford type "F", do not use it in any 700R4 under any circumstances. Look at past posts from me or transfixleo.

According to the tech people who analyze oil, the #1 oil is Amsoil, #2 is Redline. B&M, Royal Purple and others are at the bottom of the list.

I have been told by the local AMSOIL Dealer/Distributor that unless I can totally flush the transmission of all dextron atf, including what is in the convertor, that I should not use the amsoil atf because it will not mix with the dextron and will cause problems. I have also been told the same thing by some of the guys I race with.

I have not had any problems mixing Synthetic and regular ATF. Remember, he is trying to sell you expensive fluid and the more he selld=s of it the more he makes. Remember, I'm from New York so naturally I am cynical!
