Will stock 700R4 handle over 450 hp?

My new motor is running 375hp from the flywheel. I plan on adding between 75 to 125 shot of NO2. I'm having doubts on the stock tranny. What do you guys think? Or better yet, know from experience?

Should be OK. You didn't state the year of your car, a 88 or later transmission is a better guarantee. I've seen earlier models fail quickly under much less. Also if it has high milage there's no real guarantee. Smaller diameter than stock torque converters also allow for a larger factor in reliability with more power to the wheels. I'n a worst case senario your torch it and get the opportunity to beef it up duing the rebuild.

If you do not have the Corvette servo or the Trans-Go Performance Shift kit then at least do that to insure you have a
chance at keeping this together for a while, worst case you will already have these parts for the next rebuild. If I can
be of help call me at 800 7763288 or email me.

Some '87's were closer to the '82-'86 but generally the '87-up is more desireable to start with.
